About me

I guess you could say I’m a story teller. If I was alive in the 1400’s (and I can’t be sure I wasn’t), I would have been that weird woman dressed in colourful fabrics who travelled through the land and told stories at the market place or at royal courts. That, or a witch, or both. I’ve often felt like I do not truly belong in this world, and that I may come from a different planet. Nonetheless, I quite like it here. The human experience is an interesting one. I love dancing, swimming, making videos and writing the most. I feel complete with a pen in my hand. And if what I do can inspire, move or teach something to others, I’m a happy woman.

About my blog

I believe writing to be one of the most multi-functional types of art. I get to process my feelings, share my emotions with people who might be in similar situations and simultaneously work on my craft. Four years ago, the man I’d thought of as the love of my life and I broke up. That gave me the idea for the Heartbreak Blog. So please feel free to share in my misery. Break-ups are one of the hardest human experiences, but we don’t have to go through them alone. As of right now though, that process is completed and so are the entries. But not to worry! I have added a new category: the Self-Love blog, in which I try to break down the abstract concept of loving oneself. And who knows what other topics I will come up with next. The unifying theme will always be Tea Time With Amber, since I want this to be a safe space where you can come listen to my stories with a cup of your favourite tea. Won’t you join me?
