I missed yesterday too, but I’m not giving up! This is a challenge; it doesn’t have to be perfect. Today I reflect on Sunna, Norse Goddess of the Sun. She represents light and warmth, which many people crave during the winter times. I knew I’d read her name before, so I checked my Goddess Stories book by Alison Davies. Of course she was included. This is the illustration by Katja Perez. How gorgeous is she?!

At the risk of starting to dislike the winter, I wanted to fantasize a bit about all the things I’m going to do (again) when it’s summer. I want to start a little veggie patch in my garden with tomatoes, peppers and herbs. I want to try new pasta recipes from the Italian cookbook my sister got me for Christmas. I want to drink fruity beers and dance on the beach. I want to go to a small festival and make out with hot people. I want to go deep diving and make an underwater film. I want to dye my hair honey blonde. I want to wear red dresses and red shoes and red lipstick, with gold jewelry. I want to flirt with strangers. I want to pick flowers and make a daisy crown. I want to visit cities that I’ve never been to in my own country. I want to eat strawberries on a blanket by the water while reading poetry.
Let’s leave it at that, shall we? Otherwise I will become homesick for summer and that is a feeling I don’t think I ever had. Still, just to stay in these vibes a little longer, a song to imagine ourselves a few months ahead.
